Why a verified domain isn't enough
A verified domain proves you control it. It doesn’t, on its own, allow you to send. weneed.email keeps these as separate steps so a mistake or a stolen key can’t turn into mail sent in your name.
The steps
Section titled “The steps”| Step | What it means |
|---|---|
| Domain ready | Ownership and authentication records check out. |
| Test sending | You can send a small number of test messages to confirmed recipients. |
| Sender approved | Your exact sender address is approved for real recipients. |
| Application active | A message from your own application (not a dashboard test) reached a recipient’s server. |
Each credential is tied to one exact sender address. There are no wildcard senders.
If sending is paused
Section titled “If sending is paused”weneed.email holds messages instead of sending them when, for example:
- a required DNS record disappears,
- a credential is revoked (messages it submitted wait for your review),
- a message’s
expires_athas passed.
The message history shows why, and what to do next.
